Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Position Overview:
The Payment Agent plays a key role in the client funding process by assisting clients after they have agreed on a deposit amount with the Retention Agent. The Payment Agent ensures smooth, secure, and compliant execution of client deposits via bank wire or cryptocurrency transfer. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with both traditional banking and digital asset (crypto) payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Handover: Receive clients from the Retention/Closing Agent once the deposit amount has been agreed upon.
- Payment Assistance: Guide clients through the deposit process, including
preparing and providing bank wire instructions or assisting in setting up a relevant crypto wallet on approved exchanges.
- Verification: Ensure all payment details are accurate, valid, and correspond with the companys approved bank or crypto accounts.
-Client Support: Provide step-by-step assistance during the payment process to ensure deposits are completed successfully and efficiently.
- Compliance: Adhere to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures while maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
- Coordination: Communicate effectively with the Finance, Compliance, and Sales departments to confirm receipt of funds and update the clients trading account.
- Reporting: Maintain clear records of all transactions, communication logs, and any issues encountered during the payment process.
- Technical Support: Assist clients with basic troubleshooting related to payment platforms, banking portals, or crypto exchanges.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payments processing, client onboarding, or financial operations (preferably within the FX, CFD, or crypto trading industry).
- Understanding of bank wire transfers, SWIFT/SEPA systems, and major crypto exchanges (e.g., Binance, Coinbase, Kraken).
- Knowledge of AML/KYC principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced sales-driven environment.
